Project to Refurbish Kitchen and Foyer
The Kitchen and Foyer areas with the meeting Hall and adjacent rooms were built and renovated following the fire on the site in the late 1980's.
Through regular use hosting many visitors and volunteer groups over the past three decades, the facilities have deteriorated and worn and require major refurbishment.
This will involve updating the Electrics and Plumbing, replacing the wooden Kitchen Units and Work surfaces with Stainless steel units. Fitting durable appliances which can be used by a number of Community Volunteer groups. Safety flooring and wall cladding will also be required and updated to current standards.
The Foyer area Carpets and furnishings also require replacing with suitable flooring. With furniture to adapt the area for a variety of uses - Community Cafe, Lounge, Children's play/craft area, seminar/study space etc.
The Kitchen refurbishment cost is approx. £55,000 and the Foyer £25.000.
